Oops, its orange!

I seem to be having just about every color under the sun in my hair these past 6 months. I dyed my hair a couple weeks ago, it was supposed to be a bit lighter and it ended up being darker and orange! I give up!! Next week I'm going to the salon to get some serious blonde highlights. We'll see how that goes!

Mis Padres

I have a new sister. Her name is Danielle and she is great! The first time I met her at was when I was down visiting the family and we met at Golden Corral for dinner. I was amazed at how happy Jason was and what a smart, pretty, and funny girl she is. They were married yesterday at the Phoenix Zoo. The man performing the ceremony delivered a beautiful message and they both looked terrific. You could see the love in their eyes and it was hard to stop tearing up. When the ceremony was over the guests took a safari ride around the zoo. It was really neat! Meanwhile they were having photos taken. After the ride we headed back up to the reception which was a lot of fun. We had yummy Mexican food, 4 interesting (we have to learn things about Jason from other people ;-) toasts to the bride and groom, and some fun dancing. Jason even got to embarrass Richard and I with a scary looking picture of the 3 of us when we were kids. (He was the only one that looked cute). We are so very happy for the two of them and hope they are having a fun time on their honeymoon in Belize.

Happy Birthday Dakota!

Today our son turns 14 years old. He is doing all sorts of growing and changing, especially over the last year. He sounds about 3 octaves lower and he is now taller than his mom. He is a very loving and caring son and we are happy to call him our own. I hope your 14th year is a great one Dakota!

Hiking Camelback Mountain

This morning I convinced a few of the family members to go for a hike up camelback mountain. We had a good time, got some sun and gawked at the view...especially the huge homes. Brad and Troy even got to interrupt a marriage proposal! I just hope I'm not sore in the morning from all that excersize. It felt good though and reminded me that I need to get on the ball. Swim suit season is only a few months away.

Ariana is 9

Ariana had her 9th birthday on February 25th. As is our tradition, she choose where to go for dinner. She chose China Buffet, and we had a good time. I apparently ate something that disagreed with me and was sick all night, I wont be going there again! That Friday night she had her party with her friends and enjoyed playing Dance Dance Revolution, Apples to Apples, and Hide and Go Seek with her friends. We love our little peanut and are so glad she is part of our family!
