New Calling

On the first Sunday of this month I received a new calling at church and that is to be an assistant in the Nursery. I am so excited! I have previously only worked in the nursery for a total of 3 weeks before getting pulled into another calling...so I am happy to be back. Arissa is so jealous, she LOVES kids and will be a great babysitter soon. I still have my other calling as Activity Days leader as well.

Born January 6, 2009 weighing in at 7 lbs 15 oz and 18 1/2 inches long. Congratulations to Jay and Farrah and big brother Jayden. We are so excited to meet her!

Happy New Year and Snowy Appleton

Happy New Year everyone. I hope 2009 is treating everyone well. No complaints from us so far. Most of us spent New Year's eve at home. Quietly we rang in the new year in our own special way...while sleeping. Good times!

We are just coming out of a very snowy December here in the frozen north. This clipping from the paper is dated December 28th. "Appleton's new record was set last weekend -- 32.2" which toppled the old record of just over 28 inches." That is just for December. Makes me look forward to my trip to Arizona in 2 months even more! These neat winter photos were taken right here in Appleton. I especially love the conehead budda statue!
